U9A at the Surrey Junior Rugby Festival

A superb effort from all of the boys in what is an extremely difficult festival to get one win in let alone two.

The first fixture against King House gave the boys some confidence as they ran in four tries. Unfortunately Travaun suffered a nasty bump to the head which meant he would see no further action that day. The next game were not quite as easy! Hazelwood moved the ball very well and put us to the sword as some slow and unorganised defence allowed them around the outside too often. We did however score three good tries in return. The Willington match is one the boys should have won but let it slip and could not recover quickly enough. This meant we were drawn against Cranmore in the second round of matches. Cumnor and Kyle in particular found gaps in the Cranmore defence with ease as they ran six tries and really showed how well they can move the ball. An excellent way to end a set of good performances from the U9’s.
