Preparatory School

The perfect school for inquisitive young minds.

Our preparatory school educates all children ages 3 -11 years from our Nursery & Reception classes through to Years 1 to 6. We aim to instill an enthusiasm and thirst for knowledge that will support and enhance learning as students progress through Quinton House. Children thrive in our busy, creative school where no two days are the same; visitors, workshops, sporting fixtures, musical activities, competitions, trips, drama, and co-curricular activities all exist alongside an exciting curriculum.

The warmth, friendship, happiness and passion for learning and excitement for embracing new challenges which exist within our school is palpable.

Vision & values

We believe that every student deserves the best.

Our vision is simple, yet vitally important – we are committed to nurturing the academic, personal, social, and moral development of every child who attends our forward-thinking independent prep school.

Helping our students develop their confidence, we seek to provide a family environment in which every young learner can achieve their full individual potential and in the process, create a lifelong love of learning.

FACILITIES & LOCATION

Our facilities are nothing short of outstanding.

Located in 31 acres of mature grounds, our Northampton prep school students spend their formative years learning in a truly amazing setting. Teaching takes place in the Lindens, which is a converted stable block within the grounds of Upton Hall – a Grade 1 listed building that houses our Senior School and Sixth Form.

Each class has a well-equipped classroom, while the children also enjoy utilising the outdoor woodland classroom. They also benefit from being able to access the facilities used by the older classes, and as such all students enjoy sports lessons both on our playing fields, and in our modern purpose-built sports complex.

CO-CURRICULAR & CLUBS

Life beyond the classroom.

A truly great education should nourish the whole child. We offer a huge range of extra-curricular activities that will fire up every imagination. From freestyle football and yoga clubs to residential trips, there is something for everyone.

We offer well over 100 different activities each week: before and after school and at lunchtimes. The vast majority of these are free of charge as we consider this aspect of school life extremely important to the holistic education we provide.

pastoral care

Student wellbeing is at the heart of what we do.

All students have a member of staff who is specifically responsible for their pastoral welfare. With all children known to all members of staff, our friendly colleagues work collaboratively to oversee the emotional and academic development of each child.
