Fit for Life

At Cumnor House School for Girls we believe strongly in the lessons of teamwork and personal achievement that can be learned through participation in sport. We also want to ensure that the girls in our care grow up to appreciate the immeasurable benefits of regular exercise.

The school enjoys the benefit of its own extensive playing fields, netball courts and a superb indoor heated swimming pool at our boys' school a short distance away.  All PE and Games staff are specialists in their chosen field, giving every child the opportunity to be trained by the best.

Our Swimming Squad, which the girls are invited to join, are currently the Croydon U11 Girls' swimming champions.  Other successes include participating in the ISA National Swimming finals in Coventry and the ESSA Gala in Sheffield.

In the Prep School, pupils represent the school in all age groups for netball, rounders, gymnastics and cross country running. Our  sports' teams compete regularly against other schools in local events.
