Our boys leave with a confidence, an enthusiasm for participation and an appetite for learning and achievement that are the hallmarks of a good preparatory schooling, giving them the best possible foundation for the future.
Cumnor House, founded in 1931, is the leading IAPS preparatory school in the Croydon area. We accept boys from four to thirteen years, with prinicipal entry years at aged four (Reception), seven (Year 3), and eleven (Year 7).
We provide a wide-ranging education both within and outside the classroom, whilst preparing boys thoroughly for the entrance requirements of their senior schools. We have achieved over 100 scholarships in the past six years, with places to the Whitgift Foundation Schools, Whitgift and Trinity, local Grammar schools, and prestigious HMC schools further afield, such as Charterhouse, Tonbridge, Winchester, Eton, Harrow, Westminster, Caterham and Dulwich.
